The Chairman of the college Mr. N. Ranjit got medals for excellence in the academic performance from IIT Madras and IIM Calcutta. He has also won various awards including “The Investor of the year” award from the U.K Government ‘Best CEO of the year’ from Amity University and the highest award of ‘For the sake of Honour Award from Rotary club’. The Secretary Mrs.Kanchana is also a gold medallist from Madurai Kamaraj University. They also manage the Prestigious Shikshaa group of Institutions with a network of schools where thousands of students are enrolled.
SIAT is one of the few ISO 9001:2015 certified Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. This international certification of the quality of the process adopted in SIAT ensures delivery of high- quality standardised education processes to the students of SIAT.
The college is ideally located adjacent to a reserve forest and is completely pollution free. The college is adorned with numerous trees and environmental scientists have calculated that it is net oxygen generating with zero carbon footprint. Hence the students of SIAT can breathe fresh hygienic air and can remain healthy.
Shikshaa provides its students with access to the facility of Digital Library through which students can access over 13 million books globally. This facility is not available in most colleges. Students can access wide range of books at anytime from anywhere. It helps the students to acquire knowledge in their subject of interest at their own pace at a time convenient to them
The library is the focal point and nerve center of any educational institution. The fully computerized library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, printed and electronic journals, CD-ROMs, on-line databases, audio video cassettes, project reports etc., Open Access System is being followed to access the books and journals. All newspapers, magazines and journals are provided to all the students to update their knowledge on the current affairs.
Our college is equipped with advanced technology tools designed to enhance the learning experience. All classrooms are provided with Smartclass to enhance the learning experience of the students. This is to improve the quality of education to make use of efficient technology in an institution. This will enable the students to listen to lectures from renowned external faculty and will also help them to understand the concepts much better.
